Save $400 for a Headphone Jack

This segment on SmartPhone Showdown pits Google's top of the line smartphone against Motorola. Google's Pixel 2 is truly an incredible phone and is a strong competitor to the best smartphones on the market, notably the iPhone X and the Samsung Note 8. However, as with all the top smartphones on the market that have been discussed, the price tags are simply outrageous. So how does the Motorola Moto G5S Plus stack up against the Pixel 2 keeping in mind that it only costs $280  compared to the Pixel 2 at $649. From GSMArena Beginning with the Pixel 2, many are saying that the camera is one of the best, if not the best, camera ever on a smartphone. The interesting thing to note is that it has a single 12MP camera on the back compared to a dual 13MP camera on the Moto G5S Plus, however, the Pixel 2 is able to produce better pictures. Do you buy a laptop or a computer? There is yet another smartphone nearing the cost of a laptop. The    Huawei Mate 10 Pro's base price is priced $945 ( android authority ). Fortunately, there are cheaper smartphones out there. The Mi Mix 2 is priced at $552. Not as cheap as most would prefer, but definitely better than the phones from the well established companies. Just as kids are forgetting the Nokia 3310, the indestructible phone, it is resurrected as the Nokia 3310 3G. In this weeks installment of Smartphone showdown, the well established Samsung Galaxy Note 8 goes head to head with the phone of nostalgia, the Nokia 3310 3G. One of the most noticeable features of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is the beautiful OLED side edge to side edge display. The display is one of the sharpest and brightest displays on a smartphone today and is truly a feat of engineering. The dual 12 MP cameras look stunning when viewed on the gorgeous display. Blackberry Is Back

Smartphones are getting smarter and smarter every year, but prices are higher than ever. Prices of smartphones are reaching laptop levels. So are these smartphones even worth it? I will examine to smartphones at different price ranges, lay out all the facts, and give insight on who should buy which phone. This week, the iPhone X is met by a long lost competitor, Blackberry, with the new Blackberry Motion. Back before iPhone was created, Blackberry controlled nearly half of the smartphone market ( Forbes ). However, Blackberry was soon demolished by the iPhone sending them from a $1.9 billion profit margin to a staggering $5.8 billion deficit. Could this be the next break for Blackberry, only time will tell.  Now back to the phones at hand, the iPhone X starts at $999, while the Blackberry Motion starts at $460.
